Golden Eye Chef Announces its Sixth Edition Focused on Healthy Cooking
September 7, 2024 : We are excited to announce the launch of Golden Eye Chef 2024 – an International Cooking Contest for the Blind, marking the sixth edition of this unique competition. Golden Eye Chef, first established in 2019, provides a platform for blind individuals to showcase their cooking skills, challenging misconceptions about their abilities in the kitchen.
Golden Eye Chef 2024 International Cooking Contest for the Blind is now officially underway!
The contest has aimed to spotlight the exceptional cooking talents of people with blindness, breaking barriers and reshaping perceptions of their abilities.
A Stage for the Blind to Shine
Cooking is traditionally a multi-sensory activity, relying heavily on sight, smell, taste, and touch. This makes it especially challenging for individuals without sight. Golden Eye Chef seeks to challenge this notion by offering an inclusive stage for blind individuals, while also educating the public about the resilience and adaptability of these chefs.
“Golden Eye Chef is not only a platform for blind individuals to demonstrate their cooking skills, but also a powerful initiative to raise awareness about their strengths,” says Akhil, the organizer responsible for the event and its activities.
Golden Eye Chef 2024 Theme
This year’s competition will revolve around the theme of healthy cooking. Chef Rakhi Ganeriwal has already kick-started the conversation with an insightful presentation on the immune system and its relationship with food, available on the Golden Eye Chef YouTube channel.
Golden Eye Chef 2024 challenge
Golden Eye Chef 2024 will feature expert jurors, including Chef Nazim Khan from Bryan Health, USA, who has been part of the panel for three consecutive years. With his extensive experience in healthy cooking, Chef Nazim brings a deep understanding and has outlined this year’s challenge for contestants: to Cook an easy, affordable, and delicious dish to Boost health.
