Cheese and Tomato Omelette Dialogue
Hello, good morning; good afternoon; or good evening, depending on the part of the world you’re watching from.
My name is Jesus, and this year I’m enrolled in the Golden Eye Chef course, in the partially blind category. I have some vision left in my right eye and none in my left eye.
Today, I’m going to prepare a grated cheese omelette accompanied by tomato. And here I have the ingredients:
4 eggs
3 tablespoons of grated cheese
3 tablespoons of olive oil
And some slices of tomato to go along with it.
Well, let’s start by first heating the olive oil. We turn on the ceramic hob and set it to level 7.
The first step in the cooking process is to add three tablespoons of olive oil. One, two, and three. And there we have the olive oil in the pan!
Olive oil is a food that provides us with vitamins A, B, E, and K, as well as antioxidants, which slow down aging.
Now, let’s crack the eggs: one, two, three, and four.
Next, we proceed to beat the eggs.
Eggs are a natural food, as everyone knows, of animal origin. They provide us with proteins and healthy fats, which also help to keep the body healthy.
Well, it’s all beaten now!
Now, we’ll proceed to add the grated cheese. We put the grated cheese here in this dish… and set it aside…
We mix everything so that the ingredients are well integrated… and we check that they’re well combined.
Well, you probably noticed that I didn’t add salt, and that’s because the grated cheese already has salt in it.
Grated cheese is a healthy food of animal origin. It provides us with calcium, which is necessary for strengthening bone health, and it also provides us with protein. Proteins also give us energy.
We can see that the oil is starting to smell, and as soon as it starts to make noise, we can pour the ingredients, the mixture, into the pan.
Well, why did I decide to make this omelette? Because my wife wanted one and said: “Hey, I feel like having an omelette with grated cheese. How about we add some tomato as well?” And I told her, “Well, let’s make a deal… You make the first course, and I’ll make the second.” And so, I’m making the second course.
The oil is starting to sizzle, so we pour the mixed ingredients… into the pan. With a spatula—well… not yet. With this spatula, we’ll loosen the edges so it doesn’t stick… to the pan. It’s cooking slowly. We can see it’s almost set, maybe just a little more! And I think we can flip the omelette now, it’s looking good. And here’s the omelette. We turn off the ceramic hob.
Now, let’s cut:
Where is the knife… the knife? Got it!
We cut it here, in half, and in slices. Then, we add the tomato slices.
Tomatoes are a natural food that provides beta-carotene and vitamin C. They help improve the immune system.
Here I present to you this plate of grated cheese omelette, accompanied by slices of tomato.
I hope you like it…
